Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

My 2 yo's current favorite book

"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."
-- Dr. Seuss

Dr. Seuss would have been 107 tomorrow. My kids absolutely LOVE all of his books, which we have been reading to them since they were infants.

The characters, the illustrations, and the rhyming whimsy have brought all of us great joy, smiles and laughter over the last few years. Most of all, he has instilled a love of reading in my 4 year-old.

Thank you Dr. Seuss. Your legend lives on in the hearts of children (and adults) everywhere.

Do your kids enjoy reading any of the Seuss books? Or watching the movies? If so which are their favorites?

  2. We love Dr. Seuss most of the time, but once in a while Princess will say that the Cat in the Hat scares her. Tomorrow she needs to wear pjs and crazy hair. I wish I had some spray stuff from Halloween so she could look like a Dr. Seuss character.....We love Oh the Places You'll Go and Sam I Am. :)

  3. Our favorites are Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish and The Foot Book. We also bought a Green Eggs and Ham movie (old, not a recent one) that has Sneetches on it and they just love that one too! Its interesting, they do not enjoy the new Grinch movie with Jim Carrey or the Cat in the Hat with Mike Myers.
