Save Me, Jillian!

My latest fitness attempt!
Last week I went to Target and found Jillian Michaels' latest DVD Ripped in 30 for $10! I have done her Yoga Meltdown in the past, but got it through Netflix, and had to return it after I did the workout a couple times so I could get more movies. Yoga Meltdown was $9! I vow to do Ripped in 30 all this month, on the days I am not running. I am really hoping for some results. Summer is coming...which means pool season...boating, shorts, bathing suits and what not!

So I posted on Friday about Bad Office Food. It happened again. Yesterday was my bosses birthday, and we had Noah's bagels in the morning. I never go to work without eating at least a small breakfast, but I had no problem tearing into the bagels like it was my birthday. I had 1/2 a sesame, and 1/2 a blueberry bagel with cream cheese. My thought was, it's a treat. Carb overload.

Lunch time came and we ordered in from this awesome BBQ place. As you know, I usually bring my healthy lunch to work every day...so again, this was a treat! There were really no healthy options at this place, so I went for it - Prime Rib Dip sandwich - it was soo good. A little bit of slaw on the side and a few fries and 1 onion ring. Needless to say, I had food coma! We were celebrating someone's birthday after all, I couldn't be rude! I realize I have no one to blame but ME.

I really knew I had eaten too much when I wasn't even hungry for dinner last night. I did have a glass of wine, which was much needed after my gnarly commute home. Food-wise, it was a bad day. I admit it! I effed up! No self-control whatsoever.

This morning I did Ripped in 30, and loved it. Each week the work out changes, and gets progressively crazier and more intense. Bring it on! Just what the doctor ordered....with a side salad.

How do you change your fitness routine once summer is on the horizon, if at all? Hope your week is off to a great start!

  1. I just picked me up some Jillian Michael's 6 week Abs or something and two days later I'm still creaky and sore. But Wooo it's empowering! Way to go - at least I have someone else on the Jillian Wagon - solidarity sister!

  2. I finished the 30 Day Shred from Jillian and I was so proud of myself. I did it EVERY SINGLE DAY for 30 Days! I love Jillian. I have Ripped in 30, No More Trouble Zones, Ripped with Weights and 30 Day Shred. I want to get that 6 Pack Abs in 6 Weeks or whatever it is called.

  3. What a coincidence! I was just watching one of Jillian's workouts last night. She's really good, I like her stuff but I mostly tend to pick and choose my workouts.

  4. Sooo fun Tweeting today! I am VERY jealous of the Target find! It makes me wanna run out to mine! I think I have Yoga Meltdown On Demand, so I will give that a try. I know what you mean when you say you eat when you're not hungry. I hate it, HATE it when I do that. But at the time it's like I'm possessed or something, I am just not thinking. But I do love my food, ohhh how I love my food. :) I'm on a mission to lose 30 pounds. I just had a baby in January, so trying to get back to my sexy self. Time will tell. :) Thanks for visiting my blog.

  5. This DVD sounds like just what I need! I'm going to have to search for it now. My son's at the age where the pool is going to be fascinating for him. But, this current body is NOT getting into a bathing suit. Need to change that before it gets any warmer!

  6. I just finished my first week of P90X and had my kids and I just made Shakeology ice cream for dessert! I enjoy Jillian on The Biggest Loser but I think I will stick with the variety of the Beachbody programs for my fitness!
I LOVE to eat too! I am amazed how my children can eat some lunch then carry on while I am picking at the leftovers and searching the fridge for a treat! Shakeology helps me fight this a bit but will power can sure be a struggle some days! Good luck with Jillian!
